Wedding at Washington on the Brazos State Park

Madelen and mamma and pappa headed to Washington on the Brazos (by Navasota) to attend a wedding. There are not any pictures of the wedding itself, but we got some of Madelen in her new dress.

This is from inside the visitor center while we were waiting for our shuttle to the ceremony. It was a pretty toasty day so sunglasses and water were essential!

After the ceremony and before the dinner began it was time to explore sticks and such!

Second Easter Egg Hunt

Madelen and mamma got a chance to go to another Egg Hunt, this one was at a really nice park:















First we had to inspect the area....
















...then explore and collect some sticks...
















.....and roam around freely...this is actually a tiny 'hill' and Madelen would run up and then try to run down too, but that is hard when your body wants to move faster than your little chubby legs! She did not fall, but it was quite close several times.

















Once the hunt was about to start it was pretty hot, so best put on the hat too!

Mamma found the bunny rather freaky looking, but Madelen was amazingly enough ok with him....maybe because he (she) spoke Norwegian?

First Easter Egg Hunt

These are from Madelen and mamma's very first egg hunt with our playgroup:

Madelen was not too interested in running around collecting eggs, but she got a few in her basket.

And she thought it was very important to inspect the eggs closely.

Here are come of the other kids in the playgroup, and they were pros at egg hunting. (Madelen looks so tiny compared to them!)

The eggs themselves were so much more interesting than anything inside them, until.....

...mamma did a switch and provided eggs filled with dried apple, dried banana and cheerios! Yum! (Thank you auntie Marian for the suggestion :) )

Mamma also helped Madelen make a headband with bunny-ears at the party.....well there used to be two ears on it but one got pulled off in the car. It is also upside down in this picture....

Trying Again...

Well, since everyone else seems able to keep their blogs updated then I should be able to as well! So, I will try to get back on track and post some pictures since Madelen is now 18 months and counting :) and the last pictures were from Halloween!
